Nanoimprint technology is gaining industry attention, offering “next-generation manufacturing process” in the electronics, functional material and biotechnology fields. Despite of its industrial applications into displays and solid-state illuminations, there still remains issues to be overcome through further R&D efforts before penetrating the market as an alternative to the existing mass manufacturing technologies.
Nanoimprint Technology Fair will be held with the world's largest FPD trade show — FINETECH JAPAN, as well as LED/OLED Lighting Technology Expo (LIGHTING JAPAN) and Highly-functional Film Technology Expo (FilmTech JAPAN), which leads to an even higher expectation to nanoimprint technology from industry professionals. At this best opportunity to reach a wider public, I earnestly hope that the technology evolves from academic theory to actual practice.
I, myself, am determined to contribute to the widespread industrial applications of nanoimprint technology by composing the concurrently-held special technical sessions.
